Further development of asset management in the areas of organization and technical concepts
GASCADE, the overland gas grid operator, is seeking to upgrade the basis and workings of their asset management practices and in doing so raise transparency, increase sustainability and enhance the utility of investment and rehabilitation decisions both within the company and externally. In this context, Fichtner is assisting with the introduction of professional asset management in the areas of organization and technical concepts. On the organization side, the organizational and operational structure in relation to the technical aspects was scrutinized, responsibilities and interfaces described and improvements specified on this basis. On the technical concepts side, assets were segmented, conditions recorded and evaluated, significance factors identified, risks assessed and measures derived on the basis of a specific gas pressure regulating station as part of a pilot.
